BODY OF REPORT

On 6-20-97, I was assigned by Captain McDonald to go to the OCAF Headquarters, suite 707, Founders Tower in reference to picking up two copies of the movie Tin Drummer. I was told one of these tapes had been checked out from the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Library System and the other tape had been checked out by Blockbuster Video.

Upon arrival I met with Bob Anderson, President of OCAF who brought in the Library copy of The Tin Drummer and proceeded to explain to me how he thought this was actually child pornography. He then took me to the conference room at OCAF and proceeded to show me the video on a video monitor, showing the places where he believed child pornography took place in the movie.

At that time I was introduced to a Sherri Scott Verser, Verser being her maiden name, who stated she had checked the movie out from the Metropolitan Library. She stated that the library system has one copy in possession and that it was at Southern Oaks Library and that she had it transferred to the Bethany Library where she picked it up.

I then stated to them that I understood they had another copy of this, that they had gotten from Blockbuster. They stated she (sic) that they wanted to show that copy to the city council so they could see what the Metropolitan Library System had in inventory. I, at that time, told Mr. Anderson that he would need to turn this tape over to me also, due to the fact that if it was in fact child pornography he could not show this tape to the city council because this would be distribution of child pornography. At that time he turned over the copy of the Blockbuster tape also. At that time Mr. Anderson's wife, Helen Anderson, stated that she was the one who had checked out the Blockbuster copy of Tim Drummer. She checked this out of Blockbuster Video Store at 6301 NW Expressway.

I explained to Mr. Anderson that he could not have any copies of what would be considered child pornography in his possession. He then cited state law in which it stated if he was assisting police agencies that he could have this type of material in his possession. I advised him that was true for adult pornography, but not child pornography. Before Mr. Anderson would release the tapes to me I had to sign a release form that he had, stating that he had advised the library system that this was possibly child pornography and that it was being turned over to the police department at this time due to the fact that he had knowledge of this. I signed three copies of this, the tapes were then released to my possession where I transported them back and turned them over to Lt. Taylor.
