Meet David Michael "Mike" Littlefield, age 57, and wife Dawn Michelle Littlefield, age 38. They are from Oktaha, Oklahoma.
Until just a few days ago, Mike and Dawn were considered by some to be pillars of the community, salt of the earth, down to earth folks, both with good reputations, good jobs and a good life.
Mike Littlefield has been an assistant attorney at U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma since 1990. Prior to that he worked for the Muskogee County District Attorney's office, where he was bestowed the nickname "Maximum Mike" owing to the harsh sentences he obtained against criminals.
Dawn Littlefield is a dog breeder, pet rescuer and humanitarian of some renown. She is the developer of the Chacy Ranior dog breed. As a matter of fact, according to the Chacy Ranior Club of America web site, the breed is named to honor the Littlefield's children.
With the Littlefield's having such a 'pedigree', a lot of people were shocked when on April 26, 2007 both Mike and Dawn Littlefield were charged in Muskogee County District Court with abusing their 17-year-old daughter and 10-year old son.
