It is alleged that Mike Littlefield injured his 17-year-old daughter in November, 2006 by beating her head against a metal bed frame while putting his knee in her side and smashing her head against the floor.
He is also accused of hitting and bruising his 10-year-old son in October, 2006. Mike Littlefield is also alleged to have permitted Dawn Littlefield, to beat their 17-year-old daughter in March, 2006.
Mike Littlefield is charged with two counts of child abuse by injury and one count of permitting/enabling child abuse. Each crime alleged is punishable by not more than life in prison and/or not more than one year in the county jail and/or a fine of not less than $500 nor more than $5,000.
Dawn Littlefield is currently serving a one year probation on a conviction for misdemeanor assault and battery. She was originally charged with a felony count of child abuse for the March, 2006 beating of her daughter, but plea bargained the charge down to the misdemeanor count.
Dawn Littlefield is currently charged with domestic abuse, assault and battery, second and subsequent offense on allegations of striking her daughter March 19 and dragging the 17-year-old out of the back seat of a car, throwing her into the front seat and beating her about her face, arms and body, leaving serious bruising about her body.
In light of Dawn Littlefield's arrest and charges on the new alleged offense, prosecutors have indicated that they will likely seek to have her probation on the previous offense revoked.
On 5/04/07, an arrest warrant was issued for Dawn Littlefield, evidently to bring her before the court on a motion to revoke her probation. The crime of which Dawn Littlefield is currently accused is punishable by up to four years in prison or a fine of $5,000.
The Littlefield's have different attorneys representing them. At this point Mike Littlefield is being represented by Mark Green of Muskogee and Dawn Littlefield is being represented by Donn Baker of Tahlequah.
