Weirdness In Bethany, Oklahoma
Here at Bubbaworld we figure 'Different Strokes For Different Folks' is a pretty good motto. None the less every once in a while something happens which causes us to wonder 'how much different is too different?'. This is one such case...
It all started about 10:00 am, Saturday, July 9, 2005 when Bethany, OK police responded to a call regarding an auto burglary in progress. When police examined the car they found a man lying in the car's trunk, underneath newspapers and a large plastic sheet. The man was stuck in the trunk. He allegedly told the officers he was only looking for a place to sleep.
When the officers pulled the man from the trunk of the car they discovered that he was wearing a pink robe, mesh pantyhose, women's underwear and his genitals were exposed. While attempting to handcuff the man the officers discovered he was already wearing handcuffs which belonged to none of the police officers on the scene.
The officers identified the man as Daniel Eugene Robinson, 38, of Bethany, Oklahoma. He was arrested on burglary and indecent exposure complaints and a records check revealed that Robinson was convicted in January 1994 of three counts of indecent exposure, and in February 1995 of one count of making obscene phone calls. He received suspended sentences on all four cases.
After being booked into the Oklahoma County Jail, Robinson was released after posting $5,000 bail on Sunday, July 10th.
On Monday, July 11th Robinson was re-arrested. This time on complaints of failure to register as a sex offender and violation of the sex offender registration act. Bail on the new charges was set at $17,000.
Hopefully if Mr. Robinson decides to 'get kinky' in the trunk of a car in the future he will consider doing it in his own car. Doing so would probably prove a lot less embarassing.
